Conservation Area

Moor Park has had the status of Conservation Area since 1995. This means that owners require planning permission from Three Rivers District Council for all kinds of property and land development including tree felling that in other areas might proceed without requiring local council planning permissions. In addition, all building work on Moor Park properties, including re-laying driveways, adding conservatories, installing air conditioning units or solar panels all require the planning consent of the Company.

Three Rivers District Council and the Company have worked together to produce the Moor Park Conservation Area Appraisal which has been adopted as part of the Local Plan. This document provides guidelines which owners need to consider if they wish to alter a property in any way. It is very important to refer to the Appraisal document before plans are drawn up. A copy of the Conservation Area Appraisal can be obtained from Three Rivers District Council’s offices or by accessing their website at: www.threerivers.gov.uk
